Kathi Klopfer, age 80_. Of McCandless Twp„ passed peacefully with the love of her family by her side on Thursday. October 22.2026. Beloved wife of Roy for 32 years and loving and generous stepmother to Tracy and Terry. Kathi also shared her love and generosity with the grandchildren: Brian, Brendan (Emily), Brianna and great-grandson Ben. Kathi was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Rose Ayers. A native of York, PA. Kathi pursued post-secondary education at Pitt and then remained in Pittsburgh, where she served as a social worker until her retirement. One of her favorite pieces of memorabilia is a letter addressed to her parents regarding the nuclear accident at Three Mile island in 1979 since they resided nearby; she additionally kept the ‘l Survived Three Mile Island• T-shirt that was made available. The family would like to express sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the AHN Wexford ICU and 5th floor for working to help Kathi during her difficult health journey and to the hospice staff who kept her comfortable and generously and compassionately supported us.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 25th, from 1-5 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home, Inc. 806 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh, PA 15229 where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday, October 26th, 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
