Joseph W. Saunders Jr., 79, of Wexford, formerly of West View, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Sanders) Saunders; loving father of Joseph W. Saunders, of Pittsburgh, and Patricia (Steven) Pride, of Ohio; dear grandfather of Laura Ann Saunders, Alexander and Sarah Pride; brother of Mary Simonelli and Ruth Saunders, and the late Norbert Saunders. Joe was a self-employed plumber for more than 40 years and a Korean War Army veteran. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Athanasius Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Athanasius Church Building Fund.
