John R. Lentz, of Ross Township, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Andrea (Hawkins) Lentz; loving father of Ethan; beloved son of Jack Lentz and Edith Nowels; brother of David Lentz and Kathy Habick; son-in-law of Sandra Lee Hawkins and the late John C. Hawkins Sr.; brother-in-law of John C. Hawkins Jr. and Lisa D. Hawkins; also survived by many nieces and nephews. No visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills.

i’m truly sorry to hear about john’s passing my heart goes out to you and your family.
i worked with john for quite a few years and i will say he was quite a guy. he was a very hard worker and the way he talked about you and ethan a very loving father too. i’m sorry i lost touch over the last year but i always considered him my friend.
he will always be one of the best guys i have ever known and i truly am sorry for everyone’s loss. mike abbey
