John D. Johnson
January 4, 1970 – December 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John David Johnson, who went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of family and friends after a long and courageous battle with cancer. John lived a life defined by loyalty, laughter, and a deep devotion to the people he loved and to God.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Kellie (McCall), who faithfully stood by his side through every moment. He leaves behind his cherished children with whom he shared with his former wife Janet Lowe: daughters Loren Nye (Mason), Taylor Derby (Daniel), Katie Johnson, and his son Eric Johnson (Victoria). As well as his treasured stepsons Jonathan (Anna), Tyler John (Cara), and Matthew John. John took immense pride in his growing family. Nothing brought him greater joy than his precious grandchildren: Daniel, Nora, Charlotte, Henry, William, Wesley, Felix, Ian, Alexander and soon to arrive baby Everett.

He is also survived by his loving siblings: brothers Edward Johnson (Linda) and Thomas Johnson (Lisa); sisters Donna Gleditsch (Carl), Diane Stone (Richard), Roberta Pollitt; and half brother Brian Johnson (Melissa) along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his devoted mother, Pauline Olga Deklevar, whose faith filled example shaped John’s own love of God.

John loved his family fiercely, found joy on the golf course, and never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Steelers. His faith was instilled by his mother and strengthened through every season of life, providing comfort and hope even in his hardest days.

Above all, John will be remembered for his unwavering faith and love, his strength in the face of adversity, and the joy he brought into each person he met. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the laughter, and the family he cherished beyond measure.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved. May he rest in God’s eternal peace.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 1-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am at the funeral home.
