Age 66, of Ross Twp., passed away suddenly on Dec. 12, 2016, at his home. Mr. Wood was born on Feb. 6, 1950, in Germany, son of the late John Wood II, and Gertrude Whitke. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl A. (Pace) Wood; stepsons, Christopher and Matthew; niece, Shirley; nephew, Johnny; granddaughter, Paige; and many close friends. John, affectionately known as “Woody”, was known for his boisterous laugh, and friendly and outgoing personality. He worked as a medical sales representative for most of his adult life, but most recently worked in auto sales at North Star Chevrolet in Moon. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh 15229, 412-364- 0510.
