John P. Brill McCandless John P. Brill, of McCandless, died Friday, June 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine (Sibenik) Brill; loving father of Ann Elizabeth White and her husband, John; and brother of Jacob Brill, of Freeport, and the late Betty Howard and Peter Brill Jr. Also survived by nieces and nephews. John was a retired principal at Taylor Allderdice High School. He was past president of Mellwood AARP 2854, and received the AARP’s 2003 Andrus Award for Pennsylvania. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Knights of Columbus, and was a longtime usher at St. Teresa Church for the 6 p.m. Saturday Mass. He was a member of North Catholic alumni; an active member of the Pa. Association of School Retirees; and a Korean War Army veteran. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Teresa of Avila Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
