John Bernard Harrison

May 28, 1949 - September 19, 2024

Visitation: Friends will be received from 9 AM until time of memorial service at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, 806 Perry Hwy

John Harrison, 75, of Ross Township passed away on September 19, 2024. Son of the late Robert and Catherine Harrison; husband of 48 years to Judy Harrison; father to Diana Augustine (Nathan Augustine)and Danielle Harrison; grandfather to Adalynn Augustine and Tobias Augustine; brother to Rebecca Arrington and the late Martha “Marty” Larimer.
A food enthusiast and specialist, John was a Certified Executive Chef from the Culinary Institute of America with a knack for impeccable plating and a refined palate for diverse cuisine. The only thing he loved more than a great beach, a Manhattan on the Rocks, and cooking, was his family. John was always one to put others before himself – even if that meant returning home from vacation and leaving at the crack-of-dawn to take his daughter to a soccer tournament or traveling down to visit his other daughter anytime she needed him. He will forever be fondly remembered by family and friends as the kind, thoughtful contribution that he was to this world. May his soul rest on the sands of Paradise and his mind be finally at peace.

Friends will be received October 5, 2024 from 9 until time of memorial service at 10:30AM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy.

All of our love is with the Harrison family today and always. Mr. Harrison had an incredible spirit that was so family centric. It was always a party at the Harrison household growing up and it made for the fondest of memories. I cherish them even now. I am sure he was welcomed home with open arms as he did for anyone who came into his home.
