Joan Sterrett Waters (Ittel)
Age 88, of Ross Twp., peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Wife of the late William Waters, former wife of the late Frank W. Ittel Jr. Loving
mother of Terri Raimondi (Ron), Frank W. Ittel III (Karen) and Sandy Collins (Ed).
Cherished grandmother of Kelley, Skylar, Ronnie and Jake. Also survived by many
loving relatives and dear friends both past and present including her special friend
John Trautman and her treasured guardian angel and lifelong friend Sandy, whose
gracious kindness will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be celebrated
on Friday January 14, 2022 at 11:00 am. Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy.,
Ross Twp. Inurnment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mt. Troy Rd. Following
the service and inurnment please join the family for an Open House/Celebration
of life for Joan at Rico’s Restaurant, 1 Rico Lane, Pittsburgh. 1-3 pm.
Joan was full of life and loved by all who knew her. She was an avid bridge player,
talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking and baking sharing her special cookies
with all. Joan always cheered that her greatest accomplishment was raising three
successful children on her own and who all loved her dearly. Joan was also loved
by her grand fur babies Tabitha, Beatrice, Joanie Bope and Abby. The family
would like to extend a special thank you to Chi-Chi and all who helped care for her
during her illness.
I just found out of Joan’s passing.She was my mother’s lifetime best friend and I’m sure they are both together in heaven.So sorry for your loss she was a great woman and will be missed by all that new her. David N Finney
