James P Griffin, 69, of Hampton Township peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on October 13, 2021. He was born on January 3, 1952 in Reserve Township. After 25 years in warehousing with OK Grocery, Jim retired to become quite the baker of pastries, pies, and cookies. His apricot and raspberry kolaches were a requested favorite! Jim was a man of few words until a Steelers game was on, then he turned into a man of many words. Survivors include his beloved wife of 43 years, Bernadette A. (Fertig) Griffin, children Dawn (Bill) Sciolla, Annette (Richie) Elliott, Glenn (Marcy) Klaas, and Crystal (Tim) McQuillan, grandchildren Ben, Joe, and Rebecca Klaas, Jake and Hannah Elliott, Isabella Sciolla, and AJ McQuillan. Favorite brother of John (Debbie) Griffin, Tom Griffin, and Lynn (Jim) Gergich. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John (Dee Dee) Griffin and Margaret (Sabo) Griffin, and loving sister Diane “Sissy” Griffin.
Jim will be immensely missed by those that loved him dearly.
Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from noon until time of memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at Devlin’s Funeral Home Inc. 806 Perry Highway, Ross Twp.
