James J. Murphy
Age 86, of Cranberry Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Born January 1, 1938, son of the late Joseph and Ruth Murphy. Beloved Husband of Cathy Murphy, who he married on October 29, 1966; Father of Michael, Julie (Matt) Carey, Jennifer; Papa of Michael, Jacob, Charlotte, Eli, Ryan, Sean; brother of Charles, Doris, Joseph.
James earned a Master’s degree in accounting, served his country in the U.S. Army, and worked for more than 50 years in banking. He retired as vice president of finance then spent many happy years enjoying his extended family in his retirement.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 am at Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Jim’s name to St. Ferdinand Church.
