Age 76 of Ross Twp. on Thursday Feb. 14, 2013, beloved husband for 50 years to Judith (Malich) Zahren. Loving father of Debra Lynn Edwards (Louis), Scott J. Zahren, and Eric P. Zahren (Laura). Dear grandfather of Adam, Josh, Luke, Anna, Mark, Maura, and Amanda. Brother of Andrew Zahren (Ann), Richard Zahren (Becky), and Edward Zahren (Laura). Also survived by nieces and nephews. Jim was a teacher and school administrator at North Catholic High School for over 38 years and was the first member elected to the North Catholic Hall of Fame. Jim was also a counselor at Central Catholic High School for 5 years. He will be remembered by so many students whose lives he touched over the years. Family and friends received Sat. 6-8 PM and Sun. 2-4, 6-8 PM at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Neumann Church, Monday at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Catholic Hospice, 6200 Brooktree Rd. Suite 220, Wexford, Pa. 15090.

I am so sad to hear that Jim has passed. He was a mentor to me long ago at North, and then my colleague in more recent years at Central. No matter what his role, he was always my good friend. I hope you will find peace in your memories and the memories of all those he touched during his life.
