Ivanette “Ivy” (Iannelli) Calderone, 74, of Ross, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009. After surviving six brothers and a sister, four children, seven grandchildren, 25 years at Giant Eagle and 10 years at St. Sebastian’s lunchroom, Mom went peacefully after a liver transplant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elia and Filomena Iannelli; her brothers Elia Jr. and Joe; and her granddaughter, Danielle. Proud mother of her children, Michael (Cheryl), Nina (Tom) McGee, Renee (Tommy) Bestic and Bobbi Jo (Dale) Wagner; loving grandmother of Nikki, Mike, Brad, Alex, Ivy and Stephanie. She is also survived by her brothers, sister and sisters-in-law, Ann Cammarata, Dom and Phoebe, Bobby and Cathy, Norma and Emilio and JoAnne. We were blessed that another family gave Mom the gift of life through an organ donation. The family is forever grateful for the care Mom received at Select Specialty Care and UPMC Montefiore TICU, specifically Tim “Dr. Know It All” Hohman and Dr. R. Cruz, who will always be our Superman. No visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Sebastian Church with entombment to follow at Christ Our Redeemer (Northside Catholic) Cemetery. Arrangements by T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 100 West Station Square, Suite 215, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
