Ilene Clarke-Kurek
September 22, 1953 - March 11, 2007
53, of Cranberry Township, died at Allegheny General Hospital on Sunday, March 11, 2007. She is the beloved wife of Lawrence M. Kurek, loving mother of Jaime L. Eiler; stepmother of Lawrence Eric Kurek; sister of Kathy Meuser-Good. She has 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Ilene is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Meuser and Irene”Polly” Oldham Meuser. Ilene was an English and GOAL teacher at North Allegheny Intermediate High School for the past 13 years and a nurse for 18 years prior to that. She was also a Sunday School teacher at Dutilh United Methodist Church and a kind and giving friend to those that were lucky enough to know her. Ilene loved teaching and spent many extra hours tutoring her students. She loved life, she loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her Black Lab, Mandy. The world has been a better place because she was among us. She will be sadly miss by her many friends and colleagues.
Friends received Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Rd., 724-772-8800. Service at Dutilh United Methodist Church at 10:00AM on Thursday.
