Hermina B. Zaharko, age 100, of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. Born on October 25, 1924, she lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Hermina, affectionately known as “Gram”, was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and a sharp poker player. She found joy in crocheting, creating lovingly crafted pieces that kept her family and friends warm. Hermina loved any music with a good beat, especially Christmas music and Andy Williams.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Jay (Christine) Zaharko and Ray (Linda) Zaharko, and her daughter, Martha (Thomas) Hursen. Hermina is also survived by her daughter-in-law Judi Zaharko and her grandchildren: Sandi (Mark), Lisa (Mark), Christy, Michael, Elizabeth (Robert), Rachel (Christopher), Emily, Samuel, Margaret (Ryan), Mary, Lucille (Kevin), Ruth, Timothy, David, and a dozen beloved great-grandchildren who brought her true joy.

Hermina was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, John Zaharko, her son Richard J. Zaharko, and her grandson Kevin R. Zaharko.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Bridges Hospice Care, particularly to Tracey and Champagne, for their compassionate support during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Move A Mountain Missions.
