On December 10, 2021, Herbert Russell Meyer, son of the late Herbert and Mabel (Lewis) Meyer, peacefully passed. Beloved husband of Joyce (Kochin); wonderful father to Rebecca Murphy (Stephen) and Christopher (Lauren); cherished Herbie to Stephen, Cole and Aubree Murphy and Hazel and Ella Meyer; loving brother of Suzanne Locaitis (Rick). Herb was an Earth Science teacher at North Allegheny for 35 years. He always said “a person who loves their job never goes to work a day in their life”. He loved being a teacher and also had a passion for woodworking. Friends received Monday 2-8 pm at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills, where services will be held Tuesday 11 am.

To the Meyer family, my sincerest condolences 💐 for the loss of Herb. He was always so very nice to me and just a great man to everyone I had ever seen him interact with. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I send all of my love to all of you.
Herb was a fine teacher for me. He loved what he taught. He will be missed.
