Age 91, of Cranberry Twp., PA, formerly of New York City; passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Beloved father of Peter Albert and his wife Joan; Proud grandfather of Rachel (Brad) Dvorsky; Justin (Brienne) Albert; Laura (Ethan) Bell. Treasured great-grandfather of Rhyan, Evienne, Maxwell and Weston Dvorsky, Brother of the late Charles Albert (survived by Pauline) of New York City. Also survived by many relatives and friends, especially his loving companion Joan Barford. Herb served the City of New York for 25 years as a FDNY Firefighter and rose up through the ranks to Captain. Herb was active for many years within the YMCA, he was an avid Handball Player. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Sherwood Oaks Senior Community, 100 Norman Drive, Cranberry Twp., PA on Saturday, September 8 at 10:30 AM.

I remember Uncle Herb as a soft spoken and loving individual. He faced challenges with courage and wisdom and did his best. I remember my father talking fondly of the Albert brothers, they were early on in their marriages, having a couple of beers. Rest in peace Uncle Herb.Peace and Love,Bob
