Visitation: Friends will be received Sunday August 17, 2025 from 1 until 5 PM at Devlin Funeral home, 806 Perry Hwy.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10 am at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church. Burial will take place directly after Mass at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
Helen J. Novak, 87, passed away on August 13, 2025. Daughter of the late Walter J. And Mary Ruth Findlay; wife of the late Robert J. Novak; mother of Robert J., (Geonette L.) Jr. Novak, Brian A. Novak, Julie (Carl) Haefner, Mary Jane Marciano, Rebecca (Charles) DiSaia, Kevin (Elizabeth) Novak, and Kathleen (David) Fellows; grandmother of Lauren Marciano, Kathleen Haefner, Magdalena Haefner, Alexander Haefner, Isabella DiSaia, Charlie DiSaia, and Findlay Fellows; Great grandmother of Sutton James. She will also be missed greatly by cousins nieces and nephews.
A longtime member of St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church, Helen was actively involved in many parish activities as well as the Oaxaca Mission run by Fr. Scott.
In addition to a mission trip, Helen enjoyed traveling to places like Ireland, Spain, Poland, the Lake District and Scotland, and Normandy. Helen enjoyed playing cards, particularly Pinochle. Helen joined book clubs, fueled by her lifelong love of reading.
