Helen C. “Teta” Draznak, 77, entered eternity on the Feast of St. Nicholas, Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, surrounded by her family and newest friend, Kim, from Catholic Hospice. She was the loving sister to her best buddies, Katherine ‘Katie’ and Sr. Regina Marie Draznak; devoted aunt “Teta” of Margie (Tom) Loritz, Carol (Harry) Scherer, Monica Sajko, Tom Haffey and Brian (Diane) Haffey; proud great-aunt of Christina and Jonathan Loritz, Harry Leo Scherer and Katelyn, Abigail and Connor Haffey; and adopted aunt to Suzanne Kimberland. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Draznak; sisters, Rosalia and Marie “Mitzie” Draznak, Margaret (Eugene) Sajko and Theresa Haffey; uncle, Joseph Spehar; as well as nieces, Jean Marie and Mary Catherine Sajko; and nephew, Tom Sajko. Up until 2004 when it closed, Helen was a devoted lifelong member of St. Nicholas Church on East Ohio Street, North Side. She worked for many years at Frick & Lindsay on Neville Island and then at Artcraft Wood Products on the North Side. A fabulous baker, Helen brightened many joyous occasions with her famous cookies. Well done, good and faithful servant, our dear, dear Teta Helen. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at T. B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Wisdom Parish, St. Boniface Church.
