It is with heavy hearts yet a spirit of celebration that we announce the passing of Glenn G. Geisel, who departed this life on April 9, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on June 29, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, Glenn lived a fulfilling life marked by his love for family, nature, and community.

Glenn, a dedicated husband to his beloved wife Frances A. Geisel for 52 wonderful years, was a proud father to his son, Geoffrey G. Geisel. He took great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially fly fishing, which brought him peace and happiness in the great outdoors. His commitment to service was evident in his volunteer work with the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church (CCUPC) and the Fish and Boat Commission, reflecting his deep love for both faith and nature. Glenn also contributed his talents as a member of the Cranberry Township Zoning Hearing Board, where his insights were invaluable.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Glenn’s extraordinary life during visitation hours on Monday, from 2- 4 and 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to the American Heart Association, the CCUPC, or Trout Unlimited, organizations that aligned with Glenn’s values and passions.

Glenn G. Geisel will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Glenn was a good friend and great fishing buddy. We shared 45 years of adventures searching for trout, Steelhead or Salmon. Those memories will remain, but never to be shared again… he will be missed.

I enjoyed fly fishing with Glen when we visited my brother John’s cabin on Fishing Creek near Mill Hall. From there we would head off to fish Pine Creek and First Fork. We shared many years of fishing stories.
    RIP my friend.
