Geraldine immigrated to the U.S. in 1948, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Spanish Languages from Duquesne University and a Master’s Degree in Languages & Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading a good book, staying up late and spending time with her grandchildren. She was “Mammina” to her children, extended family and many who knew her. The family thanks Gateway Hospice and Sunrise of McCandless Renaissance Team for the excellent care and attention given to Geraldine at the end of her life. The family is grateful also for previous caregivers who cared for her with affection and respect. Due to the Corona Virus situation, services and interment are private. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. I couldn’t have been more sorry to hear of this loss and even more painful at such a trying time. I never met your mother Fran, but I know she was an amazing person. Through her children I know, lives her great heart and undying spirit. God Bless you all and may you find comfort in his hands at this time. Much love and prayers…..
