George T. Zaffuto, 68, passed away on August 13, 2024. Born on June 27, 1956, he was the son of the late Gerlando “George” and Ignatias “Betty” Zaffuto and brother of the late Rosalie Benedek. Father to Hillary (Adam) Kozar, Jeremy (Chelsea) Zaffuto, and Bradley (Wesley) Zaffuto; grandfather to Olivia, Aria, Roman, Peyton, Gianni, and Luca; and uncle to Stacey Benedek Tvrdovsky and the late John Benedek Jr.
He was a long-time member of Divine Grace Parish in Cranberry Township. He worked for La Roche University for 24 years, having been hired as the Human Resources Director in 1989 before retiring as the Vice President of Administrative Services in 2013. His favorite place was the Pittsburgh Zoo, where he enjoyed seeing the animals with his children and grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 16th from 2-4 pm and 6 pm until the time of service at 7:30 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Township, PA 16066. I certainly will miss cousin George during my annual visits to family and friends back home in Pennsylvania. I always enjoyed the times spent with George. Thank heaven for all the good memories.
