Age 84, of Freedom, formerly of West View, on Friday, May 17, 2013. Beloved husband of Ruthanne (Kurtz) Bluemling and the late Marlene (Shires) Bluemling; loving father of David G. Bluemling (Sheila), Kathy Rattenbury (Gerard), Andrew Kurtz (Mary), Anthony Kurtz (JoAnn), and Elizabeth Kurtz; Proud grandfather of Derek, Dillon, Devin, Grace, Amy, Andrew, Anthony, Robert, Justin, Matt and Brad; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and his granddog, Carly. Family and friends received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Athanasius Church Monday, 10 a.m. George was a longtime civil servant, first working for the US Postal Service, then serving his country in the US Army. After being honorably discharged, he graduated from Duquesne University and continued his career at the Internal Revenue Service while earning his CPA. Upon retirement, he opened a private practice for tax service. George will be remembered for his quick wit, support for family and friends, love of Pittsburgh sports, enjoyment of his grandchildren’s activities and devotion to his Catholic faith. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Athanasius Church or the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
We are so sorry for your loss. I am saddened to hear of your father’s passing. I hope you can find peace in the memories you have of him. May he rest in peace. God bless you and your entire family
