I had the pleasure of knowing and working with George for many years. He loved to make us laugh, and would bring us sweets whenever he was in the office. Rest dear George, you will always remain in our hearts forever.
Uncle George was my husband’s uncle, but the moment I met him, I was warmly welcomed, and he became my uncle, too. He was always quick with a joke or a bit of good advice- when my kids were chasing each other around the house once, slipping on the hardwood floors, he advised them to take their socks off, for “better traction.” They still follow this advice every time they begin a chase. We love Uncle George very much and will miss him with all our hearts.
Bob and I send our best to George’s family. We have many fond memories of him especially his humor and warmth. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I didn’t know George personally but I knew that he was a member of the Knights of Columbus as I am at Divine Grace Parish. I am a recent member and never had the pleasure of meeting him but heard other members singing his praises for his kindness, work ethic and generosity. He will be sorely missed by our council and everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, George.
