GAYNOR “GAYE” CHANDLEE LEBEC Of Ohio Township, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, passed away On Monday, September 28, 2026 after succumbing to a long illness. Born November 6, 1950 to her late parents Courtland E. Chandlee and Myra Payne Chandlee, Gaye was a proud 1968 graduate 0f Mt.Lebanon High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in 1972 where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority Gaye served as a Marketing Representative for the IBM Corporation for nearly 20 years in the Financial Services Industry, both in Pittsburgh and Princeton, New Jersey. She and her team pioneered the use of IBM automatic teller machines to the banking industry and planned business shows across the country. After retiring from IBM. Gaye became a realtor for Coldwell Banker. In 1983, Gaye was married to her loving husband Robert (Bob) for more than 43 years. She is also survived by her brothers, Courtland p. Chandlee (Patricia) of St. Petersburg, Florida and Dr. Robert E. Chandlee of Birmingham, Alabama. In addition, also surviving are brother-in-law, Dennis C. Lebec Of Ross Township as well as many nieces and nephews. Gaye enjoyed traveling, especially to Hilton Head Island and Hawaii with multiple trips to both destinations. Cooking and gardening were activities that gave her pleasure. She loved all animals but was always most drawn to caring and loving pet cats, adopting seven over the years. Gaye was active in the community and served as a member and president of the Diamond Run HOA. Gaye will be remembered for her strength, resilience and loyalty to her family and friends. At her request there will be no viewing. A private Memorial Service will be held for family and friends in the future.
