Gary J. Gerner
Age 73 of Cranberry Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home. Born September 9, 1948, son of the late Charles and Eleanor (Piech) Gerner. Beloved husband of Patricia (Rygiel) Gerner, whom he married on September 19, 1980; loving step-father of Diana (Michael) Ammer, and Rita (Derek) Ernst; pappy of Michael, Christopher, Gabe, and Arabella; great-grandfather of Henry. Gary is also survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and many loving relatives and friends, who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his sister, and 2 brothers.

Gary had a passion for civil war history and history in general. He was certified in skydiving with 17 jumps.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 am at St. Kilian Church, with Rev. Charles Bober celebrating the mass. Interment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, on Cemetery Lane in North Hills.
