Francis (“Nine” “Scotty”) Ellsworth Scott

Age 91, of Ross Twp., peacefully in the loving arms of his devoted and caring family on December 13, 2018. Born June 18, 1927, grandson of the late Elizabeth Taylor who raised him from childhood to adulthood.
Beloved husband of 65 years to the late LaVerne Scott whom he cared for through her many years of illness and disability until her death 33 days before his. Loving father of : Deborah (Robert) Herrle, Glenn (Joy) Scott, and Ronald (Carol) Scott;  caring grandfather of Dr. Scott (Christina) Herrle, Tracey ((Robert) Rossi, and Samantha Scott; loving great grandfather to Gianna, Ryan, Rosalyn and Evalynn.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Francis Scott and Marie Bondy.
Also survived by his caring brother in -law Edwin (Sally) Hilderhoff, and his forever friends and neighbors; Jane Zeitler, Marlene Cernansky, and Lois Stark.
He was preceded in death by his lifelong friends; Walter “Sonny” Bricker and Walter “Tootie” Nyman.
Scotty was a retired Teamster Local 249 truck driver with Transcon Freightliners, Scotty was a union steward for the Teamsters and loved to represent and defend the interest of his fellow employees. Scotty also enjoyed his guns, and hunting and fishing at his grandmothers farm in Cameron County Pennsylvania.
Services will be celebrated Friday December 28th at 11am at Allegheny County Memorial Park, officiated by  Pastor Matt Klenk.
Entombment to follow with full military honors.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Concordia at Rebecca Residence and Good Samaritan Hospice for the kind and compassionate care of their father.
