Frances R. Maher (Morici), age 89, of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania passed away on September 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Leo Maher for 66 years. Frances was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Gebbia) Morici. Also preceded in death were her daughter Maureen Maher, brothers Samual Morici and Antonio Morici, Jr. She was the loving mother of Mary Ann O’Neill (Daniel), Patricia Hartmann (Robert), Kathleen Kowalski (Edward); proud grandmother of Conor O’Neill, Brendan O’Neill, Caitlin O’Neill, Erica Bridges, Melissa Catone, Allyce Logston and step grand-daughter Lauren Opalanko; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Rosina Mowrey, Gerladine Morici and brothers John Morici and Joseph Morici; also survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Frances was a truly remarkable individual that dedicated time to St. Ferdinand and St. Alphonsus churches. She spent many years volunteering with Meals on Wheels and would often provide personal clothing to the individual residents.

Frances fought a courageous battle of illness over the course of 5 years. The family thanks the staff of Anthology Senior Living McCandless, and Commonwealth Hospice for the care that she received in her final days.

A private family service to celebrate her life will be at Divine Grace Parish on September 29, 2023.
