Age 97, of Brighton Heights, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2021. Born October 10, 1924, daughter of the late Salvatore and Theresa (Vancheri) Nigrelli. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Samuel S. Monda; loving mother of Dr. Constance (David) Rohm and Dr. Thomas (Kathleen) Monda.; dear grandmother of Adam (Elizabeth Ailes) and Bryan (Sharon Standefer) Rohm, Thomas (Emily) Monda and Samantha (Jonathan) Miller; great-grandmother to Owen, Annie, Luke and Austin. Adoring sister to the late Katherine Alioto of Pittsburgh and to her late brothers Jack and Joseph Nigrelli.
Frances was a beautiful hard working, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and generous friend to so many. She was a graduate of Allegheny High School, manager at Western Union, dental receptionist and matriarch of the family. A believer in higher education, she encouraged all to pursue their dreams. A fantastic cook, she lived life with grace and dignity and will be sorely missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10AM in Sts. John and Paul Catholic Church, 2586 Wexford Bayne Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143. Interment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
