There is no greater love than the love of a mother, and our mother’s love is the greatest of all…
Florence “Flo” Watkins of Ross Township peacefully left this earth on December 31, 2024 to join her Almighty Father and her late husband Jack of 59 years.
She is survived by her children M. Kimberly (Kenneth) Steele-Reilly, son John (Jay) (Karen) Watkins and the late Alexis Marie Watkins-Joyner.
Devoted grandmother to Julie L. Steele-Palley (Matthew), Jason Steele, Richard Steele, Erin Wilkins (Andy), Michael Steele, Jayna Hauptmann (Scott).
Great Grandmother (Teddy Gram) to- Nicholas, Leah, Luke, Taylor, Adalyn and Haley.
Also survived by many special nieces, nephews and friends whom she adored.
Florence was born January 6, 1924 to Bernard and Barbara Rausch, she was the oldest of five children.
Florence thoroughly enjoyed being involved with her church community as a faithful servant to St. Tersea Parish spanning more than 60 years. She was involved in the Christian Mothers, served at the catholic grade school cafeteria and held many volunteer positions including the annual parish festival up until her later years. She loved to swim and bowl, but mostly to be with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Florence volunteered for many organizations such as the Pittsburgh CLO- as she loved attending live music and theater (even though her husband did not like to dance).
Florence was an incredible seamstress and designed countless wardrobes from Barbie Doll oufits to Halloween costumes- if you asked, she created.
She returned to work as a part-time bank teller in the 1970’s for Fidelity Savings which she then was promoted through the ranks to corporate secretary before retiring after 30 years.
As we bid farewell to Florence, let us carry forward the love and laughter she brought into our lives. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever echo in our hearts, reminding us to cherish each moment and hold tight to the bonds of family.
Family would like to extend immense gratitude to the Pinnacle hospice team of caregivers, especially our special angel Gemma Sauer. For those who wish, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Arbor Day Foundation.
Friends received Saturday, 9:00a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Devlin Funeral Home, Inc., 806 Perry Hwy, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church at 11:00 a.m.

My deepest sympathies go out to her family. I met Florence when I was 16 and started working at Fidelity Bank. She was truly loved and cherished by all. She will never be forgotten.
Flo was a incredible woman. I started my first jib at Fidelity Savings on Perry Highway and Flo worked there. I enjoyed working with Flo. She always was smiling and enjoyable to work with. Rest in Peace Flo. We’ll meet again.
Dearest Flo,
