Eugene E. Winner, of McCandless, died Sunday, March 15, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Roessing) Winner; loving father of Jan (Dave) Graner and Dean (Cindy) Winner; grandfather of Amanda, Michael, Nicole, Matthew, Deanna and Kelly; and brother of Doris Starr. Eugene was a World War II Navy veteran; Civil Defense director; McCandless Township Auxiliary Police chief; former member of Highland VFD; member of Ducks Unlimited; and life member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Highland. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. John’s Lutheran Church of Highland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Highland.
