Eugene A. “Gene” Petty, age 89, on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Beloved husband of 44 years to Jane (Slate) Petty; loving father of Jeff Petty (Kathleen Donoghue) of Meadowbrook, PA, and Carole Petty of Gladwin, Michigan. Gene was a merchandise manager for Joseph Horne Co. for many years before starting his own financial services business. He was a member and past president of Pittsburgh Executives Association. Gene was an avid sailor and certified sailing instructor, as well as a dedicated golfer. Gene and his wife Jane loved ballroom dancing, and were members of the Top Hatters Dance Club for more than 20 years. One of Gene’s greatest passions was All Saints Anglican Church, where he served in many capacities, including Vestry member, past Senior Warden, and in any way he might be able to help spread the Gospel.
There will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at 2 pm in All Saints Anglican Church, 1510 Haine School Road, Cranberry Twp. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Gene’s beloved All Saints Anglican Church Expansion Fund. Arrangements for Gene have been entrusted to Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry.
