My neighborhood walks will never be the same. Elmer always invited me up to sit and talk with him. His smile and laughter was contagious and surely will be missed. My sympathy goes out to his family, whom even though I never met, I feel as if I know due to the stories he would tell me. Rest in God’s Heavenly peace!

I want to extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. Elmer Turkovich was a wonderful man. I remember him because he delivered milk to our home when we were kids and he would always stop to talk with our mom, Mary Alice Greer, Jim Greer’s wife. He would tell our mom about how each of his family and extended family were doing and she always looked forward to hearing his family news. After my Dad and Granma Greer died, we came to the family picnic that Elmer and Marge hosted at their home. It was good to see the Turkovich/ Haney family members who also attended. Elmer was a bright spot in each of the lives he touched and he will be missed.

I could probably spend the next few hours telling stories of “Uncle Elmer’s” kindness and laughter. Always a smile and a funny story. He (and Aunt Marge) were very kind to me and my siblings when we were young. One person I will never forget in this life. I’m not sure heaven is ready for his constant smile and laughter, but they have plenty of Michelob draft ready.

So sorry to hear of Ekmers passing. I will always remember his laugh and big smile. One of the kindest people I have ever known.
    May he rest in peace.

So very sorry for your loss. I have known Mr. Turkovich since I was little, he always teased me about running around the neighborhood in my bare feet. Most recently Mr. Turk would stop me after I got off the bus from town and I would join him for a cold beer on his porch. He was such a fun and kind man who always had a story to tell. He loved his wife and family with all his heart. Hope you find comfort in knowing he is reunited with Mrs. Turk and Patty. He will always be remembered fondly.

Uncle Elmer was definitely one of my and Bill’s favorites. I fondly remember attending a family picnic that he and Aunt Marge had at their house in the 1990s. They also drove out to several of our summer cookouts here in Ohio. Uncle Elmer always had a smile on his face and wanted us to share a Michelob draught with him on the porch. Good memories!

  • Tim Haney

Probably my favorite uncle. One of the funniest men I’ve ever known. Truly one of a kind. Rest in Peace Uncle Elmer!

Elmer was such a cheerful person and the mayor of Malibran Drive. He always welcomed you up for a visit on his porch. He loved his family and friends. He truly loved life!

  • Cindy Poupard

Elmer had the biggest heart, sharing his love of life and family with everyone he would meet. You had to smile around him because he was always cracking a joke! The sun will shine a little less bright without him around.
