Ellen E. Goerl
Age 90, of Ross Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Born October 26, 1931, daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Lynch) Schaffer. Beloved wife of John Goerl; loving mother of Elizabeth (Betti) Baker (David Patarini), Patricia Bryars, William (Dorothy), Harold (Lorraine), and the late John (surviving Pamela), and Mary Ellen O’Malley (surviving Sean) Ellen is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Lifetime member of the VFW Post 7090. Ellen was active with AARP and ISDA. She loved traveling and gambling. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 pm, at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church, with Rev. Michael Zavage officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Always delighted in talking with Ellen. I’m in Nevada now, but remember her well. My condolences to Jack and the rest of the family.
I just saw that your Mom has died. I wish I had seen it sooner so that I could tell you ,I am sorry in person. I have many happy memories of her from when I was very young. She was a good friend to my Mom too.
