After a two year battle with a dreadful form of cancer, Ed Kelly, 75 of Wexford passed peacefully to eternity on Tuesday Jan. 9, 2007. Beloved husband for 47 years to Joyce, dearest and loved Dad to Maureen and Jeff Wisnieweski, Ed and Terry Kelly, David Kelly, John and Susan Kelly, and the late Bart (Sara) Kelly, and proud and devoted Pap to Michael, Justin Ashleigh, Randy, Megan, Ryan, Lauren, Jaclyn, Steve, Sean, and Libby. Beloved Brother of Mary Patricia Steinbach, Rita Rhue, Peggy Norder, and the late James and Jack Kelly. Ed was a lifetime business owner. At age 9 he began delivering ice with a horse drawn wagon for his late father. After graduating from North Catholic High School, he owned a gas station and repair shop in the Manchester area and still helped his father in the ice business. After the redevelopment came to the area, his father moved the business to Jacks Run Rd. And the gas station was closed. He then became owner and president of the largest distributor of dry ice in the tri-state area. He remained in that position with Kelly Dry Ice Co, Inc. Until his retirement when his son, Ed, purchased the company and continues to operate from the same location. He was a lifetime member of Knights of Equity Court #9. There was nothing he enjoyed more than a get together with family and friends singing old songs, especially Irish. He taught his children and grandchildren words to many of them. A good man who will be missed by all who knew him.
