Age 84, of Cranberry Twp., formerly of Avalon, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospice. Edward was born May 9, 1929 in Shenandoah, VA. He is survived by his wife Edith (Hood) Cary; children, Darlene (Mark) Sansone, Edward R. Cary, Jr., Doreen Cary, Tami (Robert) Kuny; grandchildren, Bill (Cary) Davis, Matthew (Lindsay) Cary, Mark (Kristen) Sansone, Jr., Brandon Cary, Gregory Sansone, Chelsea and Alysia Kuny; great-grandchildren, Miles Cary, Addison Sanson, Owen Cary; sisters, Alice Bevington, Sandra (John) Hart; stepbrother, Melvin Messmer. He was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Farren and Donna Towers. Edward was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 116 Avalon and served in the US Marine Corp. He retired from Billco Mfg. in Zelienople. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., (724)772-8800, where services will be held on Thursday 10AM. Interment in Mt. Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, The Butler County VA, or Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford.
