Of Ross Twp., on Sunday, June 13, 2004, beloved husband of Dorothy (Foytik) Reybein; father of John C. Reybein & his wife Crystal, Mary J. Johnston, James E. Reybein, Elizabeth A. Terrell & her husband John and Thomas M. Reybein & his wife Laura; brother of Wanda Brown and Adeline Burik; grandfather of Joy Lynn, Michael, Sean, David and Steven; great-grandfather of Dylan and Carrie. Friends received Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9pm at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church, Friday, 10am. Memorial contributions to St. Teresa Social Services. Ed served during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force with the 354th Fighter Group, Ninth Air Force as a P-51 fighter pilot and Group Intelligence Officer from February 1943 until 1946. On one mission during the last week of the war he was awarded double honors, the Air medal with the First Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. He joined the active U.S. Air Force Reserves in 1946 and in 1950, transferred to the 147th Fighter Squadron of the PA Air National Guard. He was Flight Commander and flew C-121 medical transports with the 171st. Aero Medical Squadron when he was recalled to active duty during the Vietnam war in 1968. He retired at the rank of Colonel in February, 1972. Ed was employed with Joseph Horne Company from 1950 through 1981 as Operations Manager, Music Center Manager, Divisional Merchandise Manager, Electronics and Store Manager for two locations.
