Edward A. Kreutzer, age 87, of Ross, died at his home on Monday, December 17, 2018, surrounded by family. Ed grew up in Troy Hill where he attended North Catholic High School. After serving honorably in the Korean War with the 140th Tank Battalion, Ed earned a diploma in accounting from Duff’s Business school. He worked as a newspaper distributor with the Pittsburgh Press for more than 30 years before his retirement in 1992. Ed was an avid bowler and a social golfer. Ed is survived by his wife, Alyce G. Peel; children Jeffrey P. (Laura Dugan), Gary E. (Analiese Opitz), Bruce E. (Michelle Zupancic) and Lisa A. (Daniel Groff); grandchildren Nathan, Benjamin, Seth, Luke, Lucy and Abigail Kreutzer and Justin and Dana Groff; siblings Henrietta (Regis) Roethlein, Robert (Margie) Kreutzer, Paul (Betty) Kreutzer and Mary Lou (Thomas) Gierl and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward W. Kreutzer and Elizabeth M. Melcher, and step-mother Clara L. Schratz as well as siblings Margaret Kreutzer, Elizabeth (Leo) Roethlein, Marie (Theodore) Schlick, Anthony (Katherine) Kreutzer, Joseph (Marion) Kreutzer. Visitors will be received on Friday, December 21st at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 22nd at 10am at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 2230 Rochester Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Proceed directly to the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Vincentian Rehabilitation and Therapy Services, 8250 Babcock Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

We are going to miss you Ed. You were such a great man and it was always a joy to talk with you at VA Beach.
We have such fond memories of Ed: bowling, eating out, the visits, Va. beach, and the pool! It was never his pool, but it was always his pool!
