Dr. George Boucek
June 27, 1917 - September 05, 2002
age 85 of Bradford Woods, died on Thurs. 9-5-02 at Allegheny General Hospital as a result of a Myocardial Infarction. He was born in Pittsburgh on 6-27-17 son of the late Dr. Frank C. and Margaret Puhl Boucek. He was a 1940 Graduate of University of Pgh Dental School, a practicing Dentist for over 50 years, Past President of the Pa. Dental Ass’n, Trustee of the American Dental Ass’n, a Founder and Director of Delta Dental, former Dentist for the Pittsburgh Steelers, after retiring became a volunteer Dentist for Vincentian Home, Dental Surgeon with the rank of Lieutenant with the US Navy during WWII serving in the Pacific Campaign, Member and Lector at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Ross Twp. and a member of the North Boro’s Rotary Club, and Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Olives Chapter, Wexford.
Survived by 4 sons, George P. Boucek Jr. and his wife, Karen of Washington, William C. Boucek, II and his wife, Gail of Franklin Park, Thomas E. Boucek and his wife, Sharon of New Cumberland, Pa., and Michael C. Boucek and his wife Beth of Franklin Park. 1 daughter, Mary Margaret Fleischer and her husband, Charles of West Deer. Brother of Gertrude Dobbins of Nevada.
Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter.
Preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Waldron Boucek.
Visitation Sat. And Sun. 2-4, 7-9 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Ross Twp. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church, Monday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in North Side Catholic Cemetery, Ross Twp.
