Dr. Charles T. Egli, 85, from Mars, PA had his first day in heaven on November 7, 2022.

Affectionately known as “Biggie”, his life was lived fully and completely with Christ being the center of his being along with his adored wife, Beverly Erickson Egli, whom he cherished for almost 60 years. He was a wonderful loving proud family man who is celebrated by his 3 children, Mark (Enma) from Manchester CT, Faith (Karen Hall) from Broadview Heights, Ohio, and Dawn Culp (Chris Culp) Cranberry Tw, PA. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Kayla Morin, Rhiannon Morin, Brielle Farren, and Joy Egli along with one great grandson, Levi Leddon.

Dr. Egli was a devoted physician, feeling God’s call for his life was to “Set up the conditions so that God’s healing could occur”. He graduated from Wheaton College and University of Illinois Medical School, did his internship and residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Chuck practiced surgery in Alpena Michigan from 1968-1986 and Emergency Medicine at Marietta

Memorial Hospital (Ohio) 1986-1997. He was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Born in Lakewood Ohio to Jean Egli and Phyllis German Egli on October 1, 1937 thus was a frustrated lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. Chuck was blessed with sisters: Nancy Egli Carter, Jean Egli Bordelon, and Martha Richardson Peterson and brothers: Lynford Richardson, and Michael Richardson.

According to Chuck’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. He said he will be celebrating in heaven.

I worked with Dr. Egli at Marietta Memorial, and I still work there, I remember the first time I saw him, how big he was, and I learned the only thing bigger, was his heart. Heaven has gained a big man, with a big heart.
