To the Family, I am so deeply sadden to hear about the loss of Doug. I am a childhood friend of Jen. I knew Doug when I was young. I used to look up to him as Jen’s older brother. He was a fantastic hockey player and very good in school. He always gave us advice and was always there for Jen. I know this is a difficult time. Prayers and condolences are with the family.

To Lindsie, all of the Marsteller and Smith families. I was so deeply upset and saddened to hear of recent the passing of your amazing husband, family member and friend Doug. He was such an charismatic, jovial and most importantly loving and caring guy. He was always so welcoming and outgoing, always spending time to truly listen and spend time talking with you. Whether it was going out and about or just running into each other downtown throughout the work day. He always had that infamous smile on his face that would light up the room, never forget that smile and amazing kind personality when you are feeling down. He would want us all to remember him and speak of him that way too. I can only imagine the loss and grief you are all feeling at this time of loss. I absolutely know for a fact that he is watching over all of us and will be with you Lindsie every moment of everyday, keeping you safe and making sure you remember all of the amazing times you all had together as such a close knit family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all during this extremely hard time. If you ever need a single thing day or night, never hesitate to reach out to me. May God bless you all during this time of need. I love you Doug and may you rest in pease. With Deepest Sympathy, Scott Lane Pittsburgh, PA
