Age 53, of Cranberry Twp., lost his long battle with cancer on Saturday, May 23, 2009. Beloved husband of Diane (Warman); Loving father of Steven, Scott, and Stephanie; Son of Mary and the late Clyde “Buck” Carney, Jr; Brother of Denny (Linda) of Boiling Springs, PA and David (Linda) of Saxonburg; Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends received Wednesday 7-9PM and Thursday 2-4, 7-9PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., (724)-772-8800, where services will be held on Friday 11AM. Doug worked as a wildlife conservation officer, as well as a police officer for Economy Boro for almost 30 years. He was extremely active in promoting youth activities including hunter education and youth field days and was very involved with sportsmen organizations in Beaver County. Doug was an avid hunter and had a great passion for the outdoors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beaver County Sportsmen Conservation League, PO Box 141 Beaver, PA 15009.
