Donna Adelson

Age 71, of Mount Lebanon, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at home with family after a long battle with COPD. Wife for 50 years of Dennis Adelson; mother of Christopher Adelson of Las Vegas; sister of Raymond Gergich (Roe) and James Gergich (Lynn); also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends. Donna was a source of love and kindness for her family and friends. Donna and Dennis have been living in Mt. Lebanon for the last 17 years following many job-related moves to Maryland, New Jersey, and Ohio. Donna worked at a number of high-end retail stores in the Mt. Lebanon Galleria until about five years ago. She befriended customers and co-workers with her loving and caring personality. Dennis’ many brothers and sisters and their spouses and families cared for and about Donna, and she truly became the go-to aunt for a smile and a hug. As her sister-in-law from Cincinnati stated so poignantly: “Donna is taking a deep breath of Heaven right now”. There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John Capistran, 1610 McMillan Rd., Pgh., PA 15241 on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at Peter’s Place, 1199 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
