Donald A. Hansotte
Age 80, of Valencia, formerly of Ford City, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Born Aug. 3, 1938, son of the late Armand J. andMargaret (Dinga) Hansotte. Beloved husband of Geraldine (Yahner) Hansotte; loving father of Sandra (Brian) Stanko, the late Douglas Hansotte, and Dean (Tracy) Hansotte; proud grandfather of Matthew, Elijah, Samuel, and Stella. Also survived by his brothers James (Rozanne) and Charles (Lea) Hansotte.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 2-4, 6-8 at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road Cranberry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Richard’s Parish, 3841 Dickey Road
Interment will follow with full military honors in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
Don graduated from Ford City High School, Allegheny College, and attended NYU for post graduate studies. He was a proud Air Force veteran and worked for 33 years for PPG Industries, Creighton, PA as a quality control specialist.
Don especially loved his family. He enjoyed visits with his grandchildren, family gatherings, and his special interests in photography, meteorology, nature, and music.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Don’s name to St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, or to St. Richard’s Church.
