60, of Bradfordwoods, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. She was born to Alex and Mary Jane Pearson on July 25, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a beloved mother, wife, and friend to many. For many years, she worked at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as Director of the Newspapers in Education department. She was always dedicated and motivated to do anything she put her mind to. She touched many lives with her caring and carefree personality. She will truly be missed by many loved ones and friends. Denise is survived by her husband, Paul Schamer; daughter, Sarah Miller; two brothers, Alex and Mark Pearson; along with one niece and three nephews. A viewing will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME located at 806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. John Neumann Church.
