Darlene M. Steiger, 48, passed away Saturday night, Nov. 3, 2012, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was a former dental assistant, loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. Born March 21, 1964, in Pittsburgh, to George and Maria Whiteside, Darlene (Dee) was the middle child of five sisters. She grew up and spent her adolescent years in Perrysville, before meeting her husband, Joe M. Steiger, at the age of 16. Darlene and Joe married and had been together for more than 33 years. They spent most of their lives together traveling the world as a military family with the Air Force and had two sons, Joe Jr. and Nicholas. Darlene is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Steiger Jr., as well as Nicholas J. Steiger. Viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 8 and 9, at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in St. Teresa of Avila Church.

My deepest condolences to Dee’s family for their loss. I enjoyed the time I had worked with Dee at Dr Heggerick’s office here in Weston, MA. We shared plenty of laughs and she was adored by all of us.
Wishing for her family to have comfort, strength and faith that God will take good care of her.
