Danette Regina (Good) Golden, age 62, passed away on August 23, 2026. Born and raised in Ross Twp., Pennsylvania, Danette spent the majority of her adult life residing in Meadowlands, Pennsylvania.

Danette was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life—good food, laughter, family, friends, and making memories with the people she loved. She had a natural way of making people feel welcome and was known for her warm smile, infectious sense of humor, and willingness to have a good time.

Danette loved to cook and was especially known for the delicious meals she prepared for family get-togethers. Many will fondly remember the hot lunches she whipped up during her days at the “Country Boy” Deli. She was also a familiar and welcoming face at the back drive-thru of McDonald’s, where she met many dear friends throughout the years.

She enjoyed taking casino trips with her family and could spend hours simply people-watching and enjoying the company around her. But perhaps her favorite place of all was around a campfire in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, surrounded by family and friends, laughing and making memories until all hours of the night.

Above all else, Danette’s greatest accomplishment and greatest joy was being a Nana. Her four grandsons—Jaxon Rosenbauer, Harper Kirby, Maverick Kirby, and Domenick Kirby—were her pride and joy and held an enormous place in her heart. She loved cooking for them, playing games with them, laughing with them, and creating memories they will carry with them forever. Danette was never afraid to be silly, and she would gladly jump right into a mud puddle alongside her grandsons if it meant sharing a moment of laughter with them.

Danette is survived by her mother, Janice Good; her daughter, Kristina Caldwell (Steven Kirby); her brother, Daniel Good; her sister-in-law, Roberta Staving; her nephews, Regis (Alex) Gapsky and David Gapsky; two great-nephews; and her beloved grandsons. She is also survived by her loving uncles, Kenneth (Roberta) Striganivicz and Stanley Striganivicz; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Good; her brother, Dwight Good; and her sister, Dana Gapsky.

Danette leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, love, good food, campfires, family gatherings, and countless moments of joy. Her greatest legacy will live on in the hearts of the people she loved, especially her four grandsons, who will always remember their Nana as someone who knew how to make life a little more fun.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by her family and friends.
