CONSTANCE “CONNIE” RAVOTTI DEFRANCES

November 2, 2022

Constance “Connie” Ravotti DeFrances, age 78, of Leechburg, passed away peacefully
surrounded by family in Canton, Michigan on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

Daughter of the late Pete and Jennie (Gaydeski) Ravotti. Beloved wife of over 27 years
to the late Ray P. DeFrances, the love of Connie’s life who shared in her great joy of
family, polka dancing and travel. Adoring mother to Michele (Jack) Kearney and
Kimberly Murray, devoted stepmother to Kathy (Clay) Alward, Ray (Sheryl) DeFrances,
Jr., and Marcy (Pete) Steixner. Proud grandmother of Brandon, Nicholas, Ella, Alexis,
Alania, Aliza, Blake and Ellie, who she celebrated and loved beyond measure. Also
survived by her dear sisters, Celeste and Cynthia Ravotti, and many nieces and nephews.

Connie was a graduate of Leechburg High School and Point Park College, where she
studied business administration. She worked for Allegheny County Port Authority for
over 25 years. A life-long resident of Leechburg, Connie spent her retirement
volunteering for the Leechburg Public Library and Leechburg Area Museum, where she
shared her pride for the community and its history with others. Connie did many things
in life, and she did them all well. But best of all, she loved the many members of her
tight-knit family fiercely, and delighted in the years she spent with her husband, Ray.
Whether they were partaking in polka festivals, going to flea markets, or traveling
around the country, Connie and Ray were soul mates who found their happiness simply
being in the presence of one another. Connie will be missed terribly, but her presence
will remain in the wonderful memories she created with her family and the strong
example she set for her children and grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcomed on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 for Mass of
Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at ST. GERTRUDE PARISH, 303 Franklin Avenue,
Vandergrift. Luncheon to follow in the church hall. Interment at 10:30 a.m. on
Thursday, November 10, 2022 at NATIONAL CEMETERY OF THE ALLEGHENIES,
1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leechburg Public Library, 139 Market
Street, Leechburg, PA 15656 or the Leechburg Area Museum and Historical Society,
