Clifford John Gross Sr.
Age 87, of the Town of McCandless, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020. Born December 27, 1932 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Srsic) Gross. Loving father of Jane E. McConnell of Centennial, CO and Clifford J. Gross Jr. of Denver, CO; grandfather of Ryan D. McConnell and Sarah G. McConnell; brother of Norman J. Gross, deceased. Long time, loving companion of Ms. Geraldine Connors of Pittsburgh, PA.
Clifford was a member of the Moose & Elk fraternal associations and a lifetime member of the Croatian Society of America. A gifted musician, Clifford was a member of various combos, playing both the trumpet and the base violin. A long-time employee of the Pittsburgh Press and Post Gazette, Clifford worked in pre-print sales for both papers in the East Pittsburgh/Monroeville area.
In accordance with Clifford’s wishes, all services will be held privately. Professional arrangements entrusted to Devlin Funeral Home.

Our uncle will be sorely missed by his loving nieces, Debbie Eichhammer of Baltimore, MD, Cindy Nicastro of Washington, PA, and Bonnie Martinell of Louisville, KY, and his nephew Joe Gross of Bartlett, IL.
We will miss his many stories of growing up on Troy Hill with his many cousins, especially Paul Srsic, Michaeline Srsic, Billy Srsic, and the late Johnny Srsic.
We will also miss the stories of his many adventures in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. And the Croation picnics at Schuetzen Park will never be the same without him.
He can rest knowing that he was dearly loved.
