Loving son, brother, husband, and father, Christopher E. Russell, 62, of Cranberry Township died on Saturday, October 26, 2019 after a brief illness.
He was the first born son of Tom and Bonnie (Cowan) Russell. After graduating from Riverside High School in 1975, he attended Carnegie Mellon University and received Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Administration and Management Science in 1979. He was married to Leigh Ann (Puzz) for 38 years and raised 2 boys — Jonathan (wife Elizabeth) and Michael.
Chris worked for Bayer Corporation as manager of procurement and sourcing. Along with photographing many of his sons’ sporting events, he was an avid Civil War buff and gun collector.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom and his mother, Bonnie (Cowan). Along with his wife and sons, he is survived by his brother Jeff, sister Laura, nieces Tracy and Karen, and several cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 2 at 11:00 at North Way Christian Community Church (12121 Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090). In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to North Way Christian Community Church or Gettysburg Foundation, 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325. I’m so sorry! Just got aware about this sad message in Germany. I enjoyed my time working together with Chris in SC and Alabama in a Bayer Crop Project. Will missing him my sad regards to his family. Dietmar Strube
