Cheryl J. Terai, 60, of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011. She was born on June 19, 1950, in Rayville, La., and grew up in Crossett, Ark. She graduated with honors from South Arkansas University and received her Juris Doctor from University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. She was an accomplished environmental attorney, with former positions as in-house counsel at PPG Industries, partner at K&L Gates, and head of the enforcement division for the Arkansas Department of Environmental Protection. She is preceded in death by her parents, Toshio and Earlene Terai. She is survived by her beloved companion, Brad Bundy; her brother, Mike Terai; and her nephew, Chase Terai. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Funeral services will be held in Winnsboro, La.In lieu of flowers, given Cheryl’s battle with Creutzfeldt Jakob disease, memorials in Cheryl’s name may be sent to UCSF Memory and Aging Center, CJD Clinical Research Team, Attn: Katherine Wong, 350 Parnassus Ave., Suite 905, San Francisco, CA 94117.
